DinghyPerformance is CHANGING.
The company has been relocated in Kerry (Ireland) and is building ties with the Tralee Bay Maritime Centre (https://traleebaymaritimecentre.ie) and O'Sullivan Marine.
Manager and director Thomas Chaix is now dedicating an increasing number of days to the Centre (on a semi-volunteer capacity) as development manager and is now looking at decreasing the amount of hour spent afloat under DinghyPerformance to focus on the Centre development.
DinghyPerformance had an outstanding 2017 season
Changes with the end of Thomas work with the ISA junior squad (and "guarantied work) at the end of 2016, relocation in Kerry led to some stress regarding the activity... Thanks to a few dedicated sailors (and parents) and IODAI, the activity remained strong and results have been excellent.
DinghyPerformance sailors achieved arguably the best results within the country.
Trials 2017 : We had 3 groups. 3 sailors who had worked with us during the winter worked with Bocha. Thomas kept 5 sailors and Fred took 7 sailors... With 3 sailors going to worlds, 1 to the Europeans and 4 on the IDT we had a great outcome
National season 2017: Thomas attended 3 provincials and the nationals. At the nationals, Fred and Viviane completed the team. Our sailors Won two senior provincials, 1 junior provincial, the senior nationals, the junior lady nationals and collected many honour positions.
Away events 2017: Thomas came back from France with the IODAI IDT having achieved their best ever group result (5th, 7th, 10th). The UK U12 squad sailed very well to achieve also their best group result in years with 8 out 10 in Gold fleet. Fred and Viviane's sailors had solid finishes in the UK (4th in senior / 7th in junior). The year ended on a high with Rocco Wright securing Silver medal at the Euromed (Junior ranking) and Tayte Stepaniuk (CAN) securing silver at the Laser India International regatta

DinghyPerformance is the best Optimist specialist in the country. We only work with the best manufacturers! Winner boat is our brand of choice. Better quality material makes for better boats which in turns helps our sailors to perform at their best. DSK foils are now clearly the most successful and we always carry a small stock. J sails have an undisputed strong record at home (trials winner in 2012, 2014 and 2016) and abroad. They are the sail of choice of over 50% of our sailors. Olimpic sails have won the 2015 trials and many events abroad and remain a smart choice for some of our sailors. Adding the bikes in our range is increasing the support towards effective cross training with appropriate equipements.
A proper effort will be delivered to promote and explain the benefits of working with us to get the best gear for your sailor. No better approach than dealing with "the coach". Don't hesitate to ask, we are not shy of the appropriate advice to ensure your sailor gets what suits best.
